Operations / Departmental Manager

An Operations / Departmental manager is someone who oversees teams, projects, and the attainment of operational or departmental goals and objectives as a component of executing the organisation's strategy. They answer to a more senior management or company founder. Specific duties and job titles may differ when working in the private, public, or nonprofit sectors or for any size organisation, but the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required are always the same. The development and execution of operational plans, project management, team leadership and management, change management, resource and financial management, talent management, coaching, and mentoring are a few examples of key duties. Operations managers, regional managers, divisional managers, department managers, and specialist managers are only a few examples of possible roles.
